Born in 1981, Faisal developed his own approach to discover insight from the unique segment of Indonesian youth. By incorporating culture and community history, he delivers many influential insights to well-reputed brands, organization, and government through his reports.
Faisal has more than 10 years of research experience and a very wide range of Indonesia’s cities area in his repertoire. In 2017 he wrote his first book on the indigenous Indonesian Generational Theory entitled ‘Generasi Phi Millennial Pengubah Indonesia’, which is considered as one of the most influential books on Indonesian young generations. Followed by ‘Generasi kembali ke akar’ published in 2018.
After a decade, Faisal still leads Youthlab ethnographical research himself with a squad of young researchers. At his spare time, Faisal gives lecturer for Master Degree in the field of Psychology. He also regularly spoke at seminar or workshop, as well as giving insights for media. Among the media that has used his insights are Spiegel Magazine from Germany and Le Monde Diplomatique from France
