Research Advisor

As the founder, former Executive Director, and current Research Advisor, Faisal has pioneered a unique approach to uncovering insights from Indonesia’s diverse youth segment. By intricately weaving together elements of culture and community history, he has become renowned for delivering impactful insights to esteemed brands, organizations, and government entities through his reports.

With over a decade of research experience spanning across various cities in Indonesia, Faisal has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise. In 2017, he penned his groundbreaking book, “Generasi Phi Millennial Pengubah Indonesia,” introducing the indigenous Indonesian Generational Theory and solidifying his status as a thought leader in understanding the country’s young generations. Subsequently, in 2018, he followed up with “Generasi Kembali ke Akar,” further enriching the discourse on youth culture and identity.

Despite his extensive career, Faisal remains deeply involved in YouthLab’s ethnographic research, leading a dedicated team of young researchers. In addition to his research pursuits, he imparts his knowledge as a lecturer for Master’s degree programs in Psychology. With extensive experience in managing customer-centered research, she excels in gathering insights that drive impactful business decisions and innovation strategies.

Her academic excellence is a fascinating combination of a Bachelor of Psychology from Universitas Indonesia and a Master of Science in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management from Imperial College London, UK.
